I have lost access to my Email, facebook, and Ebay (again) with Firefox though they can be accessed with Explorer. Fire fox is very user friendly but this is frustrationg. Can you help?

I have a Sony Vaio laptop. It has a Vaio care system that will check the laptop periodically for updates and problems. This was run yesterday and when finished I could not access hot-mail, yahoo, ebay and face book successfully. I can open the page but the information is all over the page or in-accessible. This has happened before without my running Vaio care. Previously to solve the problem I uninstalled Fire fox for a few days but struggled with explorer so reinstalled Fire fox again and it has been running fine for several months. Until now. I have tried the page style option but it has not changed anything. I am not a computer genius and have no idea what to do other than use explorer, which I must say is not my preference.
