Why did hide the save bookmark to folder so that user has to double-click to see it?

In latest version of FireFox, I had to do a search just to find out how to save a bookmark to a folder. The default is to save a bookmark to the unsorted folder. It's impossible to figure out how to save it to an existing folder unless user does a search. This is something I as a user do all the time, shouldn't this be something intuitive? I don't like this change. The animation is cool, but doesn't justify removing adding a bookmark to a folder as a default.

Note that it is not a double-click, but two separate clicks, one to bookmarks the page to the unsorted folder and another to open the Edit This Bookmark dialog. If the star is highlighted blue then you can always click the star to edit that bookmark.

If you bookmark pages by clicking the ★ Star Icon next to the Bookmarks Button, double-click it instead. Then you get to pick where you want to move the bookmark.

You can alternatively press Ctrl+D (Mac: Command+D); that brings up the folder selection pop-up directly.

Have a look at the following add-on. It can do a bunch of things, like automatically expand the folder selection pop-up and remember the last used folder.
