Hello I use Firefox as my default browser and Outlook 2010 as my default email client, on Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit.

Recently I have been getting a "the linked image cannot be displayed the file may have been moved renamed or deleted verify that the link points to the correct file and location" on all of my emails.

Am I right in thinking this may be down to the temporary internet files cache being full?

If so, how do I clear my temporary internet files cache in firefox?

Many thanks

Outlook (desktop client) uses your IE cache folder, and for attachments, a sub-folder of your IE cache folder.

Does it help to clear your Temporary Internet Files from within IE's Options dialog?

In reviewing Microsoft's support forum (using outlook-2010 "linked image cannot be displayed" site:answers.microsoft.com - Google Search), there also have been reports of problems if a proxy server has been set but the settings are no longer valid (e.g., it was set by malware that was then cleaned). There may well be other causes, but I only checked a couple of threads.

Thanks for the prompt reply.

That seems to have cleared the problem. I shall monitor it over the next few days.
