How can I pin a website to the start page in W8
I can pin applications to the Start/Metro page in Windows 8 but cannot see how to pin a website using Firefox. I have seen on the 'How to Geek' site that it is simple to do in IE and Chrome but I don't use those browsers. Does anyone know how to do this please?

I saw a page with a set of steps so absurdly long that I'm not even going to post the link.
Could you test something for me: If you pin a page with IE and have Firefox as your default browser, will the page open in Firefox when you click the tile?
(I'm still using Windows 7, so my ability to experiment is zero.)

I should add that work has been done earlier this year to adding site pinning, but it appears that this and other Windows 8 "Metro" specific features have not yet made their way into the final release. Perhaps someone will create an add-on to bridge the gap until those features are completed.
Yes, if you pin a site via the IE browser to the Start page, then it only opens with IE.
this is so annoying...

if anybody knows of an add on that can fix this that would be appreciated please, thnx

I cannot find the path in step 5. I don't have a start menu folder or
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
this path. Where/how do you find it?
Make sure hidden folders are shown @pmusgerg.
It is now asking for admin permissions? what is that all about?
To access that folder it may be needed.
What is it? Is it my log-in for Windows 8?
I said continue and it moved it. Thanks. I think I'm ok from here. If not I'll be back!
