microsoft doesn't support powerpc hardware for it's current version of the silverlight plugin any longer

I have an iMac, which I don't think is a powerPC, and microsoft silverlight web site states that it supports iMac 10.4.11. That is what I have.

powerpc is the underlying cpu architecture that was used by imacs shipped until 2006 - afterwards they have used intel processors. your user-agent (the information the browser sends about your operating system) is suggesting your mac is based on powerpc hardware. apple provides this support article to find out what kind of processor your hardware runs on: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1531

Thank you. I know it is not powered by intel but didn't know it was PowerPC based. Also didn't realize it has been almost 9 years since I bought it.
