Due to an OS change, I restored my Firefox Profile ( call it Profile1) using FEBE. I then created a second profile (Profile2) using profile manager. I created two shortcuts with different targets using the -P switch followed by the profile name Now whenever I wish to open both profiles, the second opened is always the same as the first. So, if y open P1 and try to open P2 ( with the correct shortcut), P1 is opened a second time, and if I start with P2 and try to open P1, P2 is opened a second time

You need to add the -no-remote command to the command line that you use to launch the 2nd Profile. Firefox uses that to ignore the Profile which is already in use.
