There was a "bookmark" tap on my toolbar. If I clicked on it, it would show me all my saved sites that I could access easily. I must have done something accidently, because now it is gone and I need to know how to get it back. please advise.

Did you hide the Menu bar?

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar.

Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.

If you only miss the Bookmarks menu entry on the menu bar and you have Delicious installed then look at the bottom of the Delicious menu.
