I recently updated to TB version 128.0.1esr, and whilst looking around to see what's new, I noticed that you can set it to show the number of messages in a folder. This is probably not new, but I never noticed it before.

However, when I look at the folders, some show the number of messages, and some don't. See the attached screenshot for what I mean.

I use unified view, but I see the same issue if I look at all folders.

Anyone able to explain why this happens? I'd like it to show the number of messages for all folders.

Thanks

If you open (select) one of the folders that has no total, does the number appear (may take a while for IMAP folders)?

@sfhowes Yes it does. Oddly enough, it shows a large percentage of them as unread, which is definitely not correct, as I'm very careful not to archive unread messages. I cold understand one or two slipping through, but not the large amount TB is showing.

However, the numbers are now showing. I wonder why it only shows them after you select them? I would have thought the point of the feature was to do it automatically.

Thanks
