Dear FF/Mozilla:

I've experienced a number of issues where I'm unable to do banking transactions using the FF browser. In one case, Wells Fargo bill pay does not work (but works fine with MS Edge); in another case, an international money link payment to a vendor in the UK would not go through using Firefox (but did first time with MS Edge). In yet another case, Firefox won't load webpage photos for items for sale on the site www.telescope.com - the page loads with descriptions but photos would not load (I just tried it and, nada). This remains the case even after my VPN is disconnected.

I've used FF for several years now without too much trouble but with this ongoing non-functionality of FF, I'm tempted to migrate to MS Edge or a browser that is supported more widely.

Any help or advice? Thanks, Blaine

Product photos on the telescope site work for me.

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

It doesn't happen in Troubleshoot Mode. Now apparently I have to comb through my extensions, etc. and eliminate those issues which may or may not be the problem.

If you have LocalCDN, make sure you have "Filter HTML source code" enabled.

Turning off hardware acceleration in Performance settings did the trick. Now photos load in telescope.com. Now will have to update drivers apparently. There still exists the problems I'm having with Wells Fargo bill pay and the international money link payment issues I had.

Sorry but I don't know what a "LocalCDN" is. Thanks for the previous help.

Does it still happen in a new profile (without signing into sync account)? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.

Hello whoever is there at Firefox...

Once again I was unable to do online financial/banking tasks due to problems with Firefox. This is a recurring issue with the various financial systems I use - it has happened now several times over the past year resulting in massive headaches trying to locate the source of the problem. It usually comes down to problems with my Firefox browser not talking/shaking hands correctly with the bank's system. Schwab, int'l payment transfers, Wells Fargo online billpay, all these have failed to work in Firefox and I've had to revert to another browser which did work.

I have to say GOODBYE to Firefox/Mozilla I'm afraid... headache/tech issues too often. There are too many OTHER tech issues to deal with and I don't want my browser adding to them.

Best, Blaine

What security software do you have?

It is possible that your firewall or other security software blocks or restricts Firefox without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox application. Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access for Firefox and other processes like the updater.

Did you try Developer Edition?

Thanks for trying... I simply don't have the mental space to continually check this and that to see why my browser is failing me. Try this, try that - check this, check that.... TOO MUCH messing around. I want my applications to work without constant repair work that I'm unqualified to do. I'm not a 20-something with endless tech patience. I'm old fashioned and believe products should do what they're designed to do without constant repairing, tweaking, adjusting, troubleshooting. I've been happy using Firefox but it's failed me too many times. Perhaps I'll find the next browser will also fail me over time, I don't know. Thanks anyway.
