How does one stop auto-downloading update when one go into menu > Help > About Firefox? I'm accessing that to see the version. There's not even an option to stop the automation like is found in many online video players (ie: Next play in 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... [next plays] and clicking on that stop the countdown); and I don't remember the installer giving a choice (ie: (1) auto-download & install (2)auto-download (3) manual download).

Thanks

On the Settings page, set Firefox to ask you before updating. Then, when you open Help > About Firefox, there will be a button to do the download instead of the download starting automatically.

If someone let me know how to drop what was downloaded and cancel the update, I'll test that out and on success mark your post as solving.
