Firefox,

You guys are great and I love your browser. There is however a massive problem that has persisted even with every update. Every time I highlight a field that prompts a drop down and I select an option, after closing the drop down and trying to scroll down the page, the drop down menu pops right back up. This is incredibly annoying and the only way to remedy is by refreshing the page which automatically makes you lose your spot. This happens with iOS versions, not sure about others. Can you please fix this??

What sites or page does this happen on? And is the drop down menu part of the Browser or the O/S option?

This happens on any webpage that has a drop down option you’re filling in. I’m not sure what you mean if the drop down page is browser or O/S. I would imagine it’s part of the browser. Say for example you’re at autozone.com and you’re filling in your car’s year, make, and model. Assuming you decide to stay on that page for whatever reason, if you scroll down, the drop down box will pop right back up even after you’ve filled in the last drop down field. Again, this sounds like a browser issue as this doesn’t happen on safari or chrome.

Hi peteyj88, you mentioned iOS. Try tapping the background of the page, outside of the drop-down (select) control, before scrolling. That should take the "focus" off of that control so Firefox doesn't think you are trying to re-open the options list.

Yeah that doesn't work. Take autotrader.com as a perfect example. Let's say I search for a car by make and model. When I get the results and I want to filter them by price highest to lowest, the results will shuffle to that order without the page reloading but now every time I touch the screen to "take the focus off," the drop down keeps popping up.

Hmm, that site seems fine on mine. There is a little animation on the button after I change the sort order but whether I wait or not, I can swipe the page up and down normally (this is on an old iPad Air)

Is it something that happens after using it for a while, or should I be able to replicate it on the first try or two?

I notice your "user agent" contains:

FxiOS/16.0b14732

while mine has

FxiOS/16.1b14869

So there is a slight version difference. Not sure if that is significant.

This happens every time for me regardless of the website. It should be easily repeatable as I run into this issue all the time. I’ve even tried clicking on another part of the screen (a blank part) and the drop down menu still persists.
