I have a favorite video downloader on my laptop that seems to be no longer available, but works fine. Is there some way to transfer this add-on to my desktop computer? Are the add-ons stored somewhere? The laptop is a Win 7 machine and I want to transfer to a Win 10 machine.

Is that extension a WebExtension that is compatible with the current Firefox release?

Extensions are normally installed in the extensions folder in the Firefox profile folder. You can copy the extension's XPI file to a USB stick and transfer the file to the other computer.

You can find the install location of a specific extension in the extensions.json file in the profile folder. You can open the extensions.json file in the Scratchpad and search for this extension. The descriptor field should list its install location.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
