Is there a working addon for current version of FF that will add the open a link in chrome to right click menu? Reviews of addons I can find indicate they don't work or they don't addon the right click like the old version.

Hi,

This could be what you're looking for :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-in-chrome-browser/

See what it says under 'About this extension' .....

I had to install more programs to make it work but it did work.

thanks

I spoke too soon. As soon as I close Firefox it also closes chrome now. That's no good.

There is this 'Open With Google Chrome' add-on, but I didn't mention it before, because I'm not sure that it will do what you want :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-with-google-chrome/

Any good  ?

Multiple reviews for that one, claim it is infected with a virus or malware. I'm going to try that one.

I will use the first one until a better one comes along. I can deal with chrome closing.

I am attempting to install the addon on another PC. I have installed the native client and the addon but it still doesn't work. I think I remember another step about setting a directory location in firefox setting but I can not find the directions for this step.

Which add-on is it that you've installed, but doesn't work  ?

Been there. I did do a search before coming here.

I vaguely remember when I did it the first time that I had to go into some setting in firefox and change the directory where it pointed for that addon to work.

Been searching and found this :

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/open-in-chrome-1/

Want to give it a try  ?

That was the info I needed. For reference here is what was needed.

Note 2: before using the addon, please open the option's page and make sure the path to Chrome is correct based on your Operating System. For example, the path to Google Chrome in Window 10 is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe

Phew - finally  !

It took a while, but now you're happy, right  ? (no pun intended)
