How do I create folders in the sidemenu to act as inboxs/filters but only for certain contacts?

I want to have folders in the sidemenu that act as custom inbox's for certain contacts.

As in each folder would show me new mail from them or the folder acts as a filter and only shows me mail from those contacts, like an inbox:

Company1 Company2 Etc...

Is this possible like it is in Apple Mail?

Yes it's possible, though I've never used Apple Mail so I don't know if it would be exactly the same. In Thunderbird: 1) create the folders you want 2) create message filters following the guidance here - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/organize-your-messages-using-filters ('move to a folder' is the one you want)
