Firefox (linux) does not remember its last position on the screen. Why? Is there a way to fix it?

When I close firefox, after having resized and repositioned it, the next time I restart it appears at its default position with its default size, at the center of the screen. I do not know why this happens. Any idea? Any way to fix it?

You may have a corrupt xulstore.json file.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Directory. To it’s right press the button Open Directory. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the xulstore.json file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.

edit: changed Profile Folder and Show Folder to Profile Directory and Open Directory as it is Firefox on Linux.
