There is a current thread available.

On previous versions, I understand there was an option to "Delete to POP3.

I want to delete the emails entirely, not just let them sit in Trash.

I am using Version 31.5.0

Or perhaps, if not possible, to re-route them back to the sender, and that may perhaps make them desist.

Nope

your sure... I think that version of delete just blows them away, just as shift delete does.

Nope very bad idea. Most of the sender addresses are people like you and me. So doing that would create a mess worse that what we have already. Unsuspecting individuals would be spammed by you sending them your recycled spam.
