Why won't my Firefox start?
I did look at the article about using the troubleshoot because when I clicked on my icon nothing would happen, however, after I clicked my icon and used the troubleshoot was when it said all of that error stuff. So I tried to uninstall Firefox so I could reinstall it but it said that I had to shut Firefox first but even though I clicked it tons of times no Firefox showed as open and it didn't show up on the task manager either. How can I get my Firefox to actually open up?

You may have posted from an iPhone.
- Can you confirm that the problem relates to a desktop or laptop computer.
- What is the Operating System of the computer ?
- Have you previously had Firefox installed and working on the problem computer ?
- CARE if uninstalling or re-instaling Firefox do not use any options to remove personal settings, that will destroy bookmarks and passwords.
- Have you seen Firefox won't start - find solutions
- What error messages are you seeing ?

HI, First of all you mention that what kind of Operating system you are using right now ? and also mention the screen shot of the your error .
I did post from an iPhone because the Firefox won't open but I am using a small Acer netbook. I am not sure why it does it but the uninstall program says the Firefox is open but Firefox isn't showing on the screen anywhere and on the task manager either.
Have you restarted your system ?? it happen sometimes ,,when we restart our PC then that problem solved.
It is possible that your security software (firewall, anti-virus) blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

You can use one of these to start Firefox in Safe Mode:
- On Windows, hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox with a double-click on the Firefox desktop shortcut
- On Mac, hold down the Options key while starting Firefox
- Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test to see if that helps.
