Hi, I am facing problems using windows media plugin on firefox as well as other browsers as well. I guess the problems would lie on the windows media plugin.

Few weeks back, I do not have any problems running windows media player on firefox, however I am unable to do so now. I am able to load the plugin but I cannot play it. I tried testing the plugin on the site below. Thank you for your help.

Hi,

You can try to fully trust Firefox + its sub processes/files in the security software (antivirus and firewall). You can also try to Disable other possibly conflicting Plugins in Tools (Alt + T) > Add-ons. You could also uninstall it from the Windows Control Panel > Programs and Features and [www.interoperabilitybridges.com/windows-media-player-firefox-plugin-download reinstall it].

Hi, Thank you for your reply. I have did the steps as mentioned by you, disabled all plugins except windows media plugin and restarted firefox. However, it still does not work. The plugin has already been resintalled to the latest version as well.

Heres a preview when I tried about:plugins (as attached as well) http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4595/31486498.png

Thanks!

The plugin shows as installed and enabled on the about:plugins page, os if it isn't working then it sounds more like a problem with the Windows Media Player.

Can you open such media files directly in the Windows Media Player ?
