Every time I load Firefox "Ask Jeeves" is my home page. I delete it and reload the page I want as my home page. Then when I reload Firefox, there is "Ask Jeeves" back again. I habe searched my computer and can not find anything identifiable as an "Ask Jeeves" virus (which is what it now is!!!).

How can I get rid of this annoying problem? I am running Version 5.0.1 because you issue the next version long before things like "FEBE" are updated to run in the new vewrsion.

FEBE is now compatible up thru the pre-release Firefox 8.0 version which is in the Aurora development channel.

Take a look at your extensions for a "search" of Ask extension - remove it.

I have removed this add in so many times now, I also restart FireFox to ensure that it has been removed. Next time I go into FireFox there it is showing as my official Home Page in Tools, Options, General.

I have carried out a number of searches through my Computer for either "Ask", "ask", "Jeeves" or "jeeves". The search software always comes up telling me there is no sign of it.

I am now goint to try removing the "Ask" virus and FireFox along with all of its settings, power off and then later on I will load the newest version of FireFox and see if the "Ask" virus has been lost. I will let you know what the outcome is.
