I am using a Mac OSX 10.6.8. & Firefox 5.01. Certain pages have overlapping text which sometimes results in partialy covering some click boxes. If I use Chrome or Safari they are ok on same pages. The example below will show a little of what I mean but on this site in particular when I go into it further the problem increases and I cannot for example access my account because the button I need to click on is covered over with text

You can also do a check for corrupted fonts and other font issues:

-> CreativeTechs Tips: Garbled Fonts Troubleshooting Guide

-> Checking for damaged fonts

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause issues like you described.

-> Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)

-> Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"

Check and tell if its working.

Thanks for fast reply. I have tried all the suggestions detailed but the problem persists. I have the problem on a number of sites and took a screenshot to show. Unfortunately it will not upload into the add images box below, stating 'invalid' perhaps because its a TIFF image?

It's a very annoying snag on a great browser, any more ideas?

No luck, just the same. I have opened the same page on Google Chrome so that you can see it does not appear a website problem.

i know not a website problem but could be a Add-on OR Plugin problem. Perform the steps mentioned in the link of the article i provided in my previous post.

Me again. I did try all the suggestions and just to be 100% I have just disabled them all again. It makes no difference. Thanks for all your efforts , fingers crossed you come up with something.
