Hovering the mouse over certain things used to give a little pop up with more information. Now I only get a little white rectangle with curved corners. I updated recently to version 4, hoping it would fix this issue, but it hasn't.

This issue can be caused by an extension (possibly Google Toolbar) that isn't working properly.

You can try to uninstall and reinstall the GT to see if that works.

It seems the alt text is no longer auto-populating. This issue has nothing to do with the Google toolbar. in fact, most people who have this problem don't have Google toolbar. If you wish to view the little pop up text, hover and press alt. It'll shrink the window a bit, and jump over the page a bit, but at least the text will show up. The only solution I have found is to downgrade to 4.0 (or earlier). Any update (1 or 2) after that still has this bug. They will try and force you to upgrade, since older versions are security risks; it is up to you if you'd rather put your computer at risk or not. Since nobody from Firefox has responded to this issue, I doubt they have a solution. This add-on tries really hard https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/popup-alt-attribute/ but ultimately does nothing. In sum, no hope until they push a bug fix through.

BTW, FF4, what happened to all my cookies? They dun disappeared! The upgrade didn't go so well O.o *Sad face*
