Lost Google tool bar

This happened

Every time Firefox opened

Lost Google tool bar == This happened == Every time Firefox opened == Firefox last updated to 3.6.6

Chosen solution

Is the Google Toolbar for Firefox enabled in the extension manager window? Tools > Addons >> Extensions

If so, does it appear in View > Toolbars? If so, is it check-marked?

I checked the things you mentioned already. When I look at the in the Tools>Addons>Extensions>Toolbar, I clicked on the Options for the Google Toolbar. Then I select Buttons tab no buttons appear to add. When I select the Layout tab, I have Icons and Text selected and Classic Google Toolbar is selected. When I right-click on the toolbars section of my browser the Google Toolbar is there and checked and it is on my set of toolbars at the top. The only things in it is the printer icon. When I try to add buttons there, it looks as though it is doing it but nothing appears.

Hey Everyone. :-) I've been having the same problem for a few days and found a solution that only took about 20min provided by User: "cor-el" on another question in the forums. So, if you're still having the problem, try this:

"Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems. See: [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Basic+Troubleshooting#Make_a_new_pro...]

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins"

If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile (be careful not to copy corrupted files) See: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_data_to_a_new_profile_-...

Hope it works as well for you as it did for me. :-)
