If you start your computer in 'Safe Mode with Networking' mode and then start Thunderbird what happens?

Are you using : MACOSX Mojave 10.14.5

What version of Thunderbird are you using? Did this occur after a Thunderbird upgrade? Did you get a download from this link: https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/all/

What Anti-Virus are you using?

Does this occur after waking computer from sleep / hibernation mode or on computer start up ?

I'm using an iMac and don't have 'safe mode' native on the OS, I tried starting Thunderbird in it's own Safe Mode and simply freezes on opening.

I have re-installed it from https://www.thunderbird.net/en-US/ and .. same result.

I don't currently use an Anti-virus atm. This freezing up issue occurs at all times when the computer is running (in use) or after waking from sleep anytime I try to open Thunderbird.

Hey there everyone, thanks for the help! Strangely, after 2 days of messing around with settings and re-sintalls and messing about again .. suddenly Thunderbird is working!

I have no idea what caused the issue and no idea what resolved it , but I do thank you for your help.
