TB is stuck in my TRASH FOLDER. I am unable to: Open the Menu or Help in order to access the Application Basics. Please help!! TY!

Yesterday, I clicked on my Trash Folder to search for an old email. TB froze in the Trash Folder and I cannot access any other email folders. I am not able to click on the Profile Menu to access Help. I thought shutting down my laptop would perhaps fix the problem for today. EVERYTHING is still frozen! Thank you for your help

Same thing if you restart Thunderbird?

Hi Wayne, Thanks for your prompt reply! I was somehow able to release being stuck in the TB Trash folder. I clicked on 'continue' in regard to a Script and I'm no longer stuck! Thanks for reaching out!

I have no idea how many em's are in the Trash folder. There is no visible count indicated.

two possibilities - click the folder, bottom right, in status bar shows counts for unread and total (if status bar is not shown - view > toolbars > status bar) - right+click folder with mouse, properties

Oh for heavens sake...been a while since I've been here so had to get new ID and password...finally found the right area...thunderbird stuck in trash folder....went back to it and IT IS NOW WORKING !!! I guess I scared it ! Hopefully it keeps opening and allowing me to look for mailed file to trash by mistake! Bonnie
