Can't visit vudu.com without get a "broken" web site.
I run Ubuntu 14.04 and have been visiting vudu.com several times a week for 4 months. Today the website is "broken" with most buttons missing and somehow I am redirected to a page to rent or purchase an obscure horror film. I have looked at the "new and improved" Vudu website on this machine every since it was released, but today I don't get what I expect ... in fact I get nothing that I can use. A call to customer service suggested the vudu.com is not "supported" on Linux, but that is possibly true for viewing a movie -- but I don't view videoes from Vudu on my computer because I have PS3 attached to my 65 in TV in the livingroom. Does not work with either Firefox or Chrome. I hope this is a temporary problem.
Chosen solution
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

I am sorry to hear that it is not working on Linux. There are some troubleshooting tips I might recommend for disabling hardware acceleration, or enabling it depending on the system:
To enable: http://askubuntu.com/questions/491750/force-enable-hardware-acceleration-i...
However the ubuntu community might have some better answers to this since its not working on either browser.

As I hope the next day the problem went away without having to do anything (not even re-booting). I should have mentioned in my initial post that I did clear the cache and cookies before I wrote anything and before I called Vudu. The CSR I spoke knew "nothing" and should have said nothing about the site not being supported on Linux - especially when I told him that I was NOT trying to view a video.
Thanks for posting a solution ... hopefully I will never have to use it!
