How do i REMOVE the Adobe Acrobat Plugin.
Every time i click [Disable] then restart FF, it's back, running again. I do not want Acrobat, as i would rather use Foxit Reader.
The only button in the Addons manager is [Disable] there does not seem to be a [Uninstall] or [Delete this plugin] option. Nor does adobe acrobat appear in Add/Remove Programs in Control panel.
Nor did i even install it in the first place. (Must have come packed with another app)
Either way, i want it gone. Please tell me where FF Stores it's addons, and which file to delete to get rid of this infuriating nuisance.

ok, in this case let's remove the plugin manually:
- first enter about:config into the firefox location bar (confirm the info message in case it shows up) & search for the preference named plugin.expose_full_path. double-click it and change its value to true.
- then enter about:plugins into the location bar, there should be a full file-path be shown next to the outdated adcrobat addon
- use windows explorer to navigate to that path & delete the nppdf32.dll file
- afterwards restart firefox & the plugin should be gone.

hello, you can try to use Adobe Reader Cleaner Tool provided by adobe: http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
Tried the app that you linked to, no use, bloody acrobat still came back.

Addon Remains (See Screenshot) Where does FF Store the addon itself? because obviously Adobe are too inept to make a proper plugin remover that actually works.

Unfortunately the bloody plugin does not appear in about:plugins after doing as you said.
so i did a search on the PC and found the file. C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\plugins\nppdf32.dll
Have removed it and finally the damn plugin is gone! and PDF files NOW WORK in browser with Foxit Reader!
Instead of Adobe trying to Hijack it with error "Failed to load Adobe Reader" and crashing firefox.
Thanks Madperson!
