A few times a week, I go down to my computer which is scheduled to wake up at 5am each morning and find that either TB or FF or both have a crash report waiting for me.

I got my first crash report when I added some bad memory to my PC. It was during the day and I got bombarded with FF crashes. I took out the bad memory and replaced it with different memory which I tested. That is when the "wake up" crashes started. I then removed that memory and was left with just my original memory. Continued to get wake up crashes. I now have new memory all together and still get the crashes.

I have resetted FF, run Memtest86, run Prime95, checked for viruses and malware with MSE, AVast, AdvancedSystemCare, TDSSKiller, and a couple others. The only add-on I have running is Status-r-Evar.

Please help! Thanks

If you have submitted crash reports then please post the IDs of one or more crash reports that have this format:

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the IDs of the submitted crash reports on the about:crashes page.

  • You can open the about:crashes page via the location bar, like you open a website.

I couldn't seem to find any that were actually submitted for TB. I always click to send the report, but....

This looks like a crash caused by adding or removing a multi media device to switch the sound device.

  • Bug 731812 - crash in MMDevAPI.dll when inserting or removing a usb headset

Could that be the result of using MagicJack? I've been using this exact setup for years. If it is the MagicJack, why would it just start doing it all of a sudden? Is there a way to prevent the crashes?

Although it looks like the same error, here are a couple TB crashes too

initially, I appreciated the help, but now.... well, being left hanging is worse than not being helped at all
