Why does Firefox keep crashing?

I've updated all of my plugins. I don't know what's wrong. It's never crashed this much before. It crashes every other day or even once a day. It's getting annoying. Here are my crash reports. Thanks for the help in advance, everyone. https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-672369ea-7cb2-4c9b-8208-8f54d2150819 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-2bad5331-240b-49b9-b4d0-fc8a62150817 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-925d1532-a892-4d39-9257-c22842150817 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-4c0964d9-5573-4aac-b688-4e3b42150816 https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/bp-4c11a6d6-9d35-4e77-b1e2-080472150812

This reply will take you to the head of the queue again when someone should be able to help with the crash reports.

In the meantime, you could try disabling your SOE Web Installer, which I know nothing specific against but which does cause some problems. Google SOE Web Installer. The lots of advice on removing it will give you the general idea.

These crashes seem to be related to Firefox submitting MP4 video decoding tasks to the system:

mozilla::MP4Reader => mozilla::AppleVTDecoder => VideoToolbox => AppleGVA => AppleIntelHD3000GraphicsVADriver => AppleIntelSNBVA => etc.

The crash could be caused by Firefox not being fully compatible with your current graphics card/chipset driver software. Our support article suggest safe ways to check for updates: Upgrade your graphics drivers to use hardware acceleration and WebGL.

If that doesn't help, you might be able to stop Firefox from submitting MP4 media to the system for decoding. Hopefully the problem site will then switch over to using Flash, but it's also possible that you just won't be able to view videos on that site at all. I have to note I'm running Windows and can't test this myself, but if you want to try it:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste media and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click the media.apple.mp4.enabled preference to switch it from true to false

I'm not sure whether that disables it right away or after your next quit/start cycle. I suppose you'll know right away after visiting that video site! But please allow 30 seconds after the change so Firefox saves it to your preferences file on disk before crashing.

Any difference?
