How can I undo iMBD.com changing usage of Alt-arrow keys?
Many (but not all) pages on IMDb.com change the standard Firefox usage of the Alt-left arrow and Alt-right arrow keys, which are, scrolling backwards and forwards through the list of displayed pages: o On some IMDb pages, the key combinations scroll backwards/forwards through photos within a frame in the page. o On other pages, the key combinations do nothing at all. o On the rest of IMDb, the key combinations work as usual.
iMDB made this change 9-12 months ago. It's maddening because (a) I don't want it, and IMDb doesn't make it optional; and (b) the change is inconsistent within the site. As a result, I've stopped using Alt-left arrow and Alt-right arrow in iMDB at all. I manually click on the Firefox page-backward and page-forward icons instead.
Is there some way to block iMDB from changing how Alt-left arrow and Alt-right arrow function? Since the change occurs only on some pages, I assume it's done by something in the page code that can be blocked.

You can block the following script in an add-on like Adblock Plus. There's a chance doing so might break some site functionality though.

Someone else may be able to write a user script that prevents the site from interfering with browser keyboard shortcuts.
I have Adblock Plus and I used it to check several IMDb pages. I haven't found any with that exact script URL, but I get the idea. If I poke around long enough I should find the one to disable. Wish I had the skills to write a script to do the job. Anyway, thanks for pointing me to this.

I ran into it on the pages for individual photos in the image gallery, e.g.

Feel free to post the links that are giving you trouble and I'll check if blocking any scripts would help.
