On some websites, Firefox Password Manager doesn't remember username/password until I start typing it in. How can I make the username/password always appear automatically?

The username/passwords are stored in the password manager and do appear, but first I have to begin typing the username. I can't always remember the username off the top of my head, so I would like it to always appear without typing. It works on some websites, but not others.

I'm using the latest version of Firefox on Windows XP.

Thanks

Firefox won't fill the name and password if a site uses the autocomplete attribute or if you have multiple names and passwords stored for a website (domain).

If you are in Private Browsing - Use Firefox without saving history mode then Firefox also won't fill the name and password automatically.

If you have multiple logons for the same domain, click twice in the Username field and you should get a selection window with all the Usernames for that domain,
