I established a Firefox account on my main PC and want to sync bookmarks, etc., to my Android tablet. Firefox is installed on my tablet and, like my desktop, is fully up to date. I sign into my account on the Android then look for the Sync button under settings. It is not there. How do I proceed with a sync, please? My main PC is OSX El Capitan. My tablet is Samsung S6.

Android Settings - Accounts - Firefox Tap the 3-dot menu - Sync now As syncing happens in the background automatically there shouldn't be any need to manually trigger a sync though.

Thanks, christ1. However, as I stated in my question, there is no Sync button where you said it should be. That is as standard answer that does not apply on my installation. Am I alone, I wonder? Did Mozilla change something? Having said that, I was finally able to log in on both devices and now find they have synced themselves, so mission accomplished in the end.

As an aside, my problems were caused by the lack of clarity by the postings on this and other issues. They tell me to log in but do not clearly state where to log in, nor do they say what device to log in in the first place. I find this a lot when I am searching for solutions like this but I am nonetheless grateful that help is out there.

Thanks again. I remain a Firefox devotee.
