Like EVERYONE on the planet Earth, I have multiple email accounts. On Windows Live Mail (which I use sometimes) there is a "Quick View" which shows all inboxes in one easy view. When I open the Live Mail email client, all new emails appear in one view.

On Thunderbird, I have to manually go to each Inbox. I can find no such option as the Live Mail "Quick View", which utterly astonishes me. I would think a "Quick View" would be the most basic view that everyone would utilize. Perhaps I am just missing the setting somewhere in Thunderbird? Can someone help me out? I truly want to make Thunderbird my primary email client, but just cannot justify it without this view. Many thanks, Dave F.

It's horses for courses. Some users want everything in one heap, others think that's an abomination and want everything segregated. And you'd be surprised at the number of users with only one account.

View|Folders|Unified might approximate your "quick view"

View|Folders|Unread is another quick way of finding what's new.

I use this add-on:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/folder-pane-view-switcher/

to facilitate switching between folder views. And I find the Mail Views tool in the toolbar handy, though you'll have to customize the toolbar to get it. Just right-click the toolbar, look for a "customize" option and follow your nose…

If you have useful things dotted about in multiple folders, you may find Saved Search folders useful too. And when the number of folders gets too large, try the QuickFolders add-on to allow frequently-used folders to shown as tabs.

Try this: Menu icon > Folders> Unified

Thanks for the replies folks. The View|Folders|Unified works good enough.

Much appreciated!!!!!!!!!!
