I'm leaving ATT and have an email account that will close. Will all the inbox and sent emails on Thunderbird remain on Thunderbird or do I have to save them somehow before closing the ATT account? Thank you.

Keazen oplossing

If it's a POP-connected account then the messages are on your computer already.

If it's an IMAP-connected account then you need to move those messages either into an alternative account, or into the Local Folders account in Thunderbird.

To be on the safe side, I'd move them to Local Folders. If it is a POP-connected account, it will annoy you with errors when it can no longer connect to the server.

Thank you so much for the prompt and insightful reply!!! As you can probably tell, I'm not computer literate. I've had ATT email for years and it never occurred to me what would happen, if I moved!

Thanks again!
