The Mozilla Crash Reporter is a program that sends information to Firefox developers when Firefox crashes. Firefox developers use this information to make future versions of Firefox crash less frequently. The Mozilla Crash Reporter comes up ''because'' Firefox crashes; it does not ''cause'' Firefox to crash. For suggestions on how to prevent Firefox from crashing, see [[Firefox crashes]]. __TOC__ = When Firefox crashes = After Firefox crashes, the Mozilla Crash Reporter window will appear. <br/>[[Image:send_crash.png]] '''Tell Mozilla about this crash so they can fix it''': If this box is checked, the Mozilla Crash Reporter will send a summary of the crash to Mozilla. Deselect this box if you don't want to send the report to Mozilla. [[Image:details_crash.png|]]{button '''Details...'''}: Will open the "Report Contents" window, where you can view the technical details of the crash. '''Add a comment (comments are publicly visible)''': Use this box to add any further information that might be useful to developers trying to find the cause of the crash. The comments you post may be read by anyone.. '''Include the address of the page I was on''': When checked, the information you send to Mozilla will include the website you visited before the crash. '''Email me when more information is available''': Check this box if you would be willing to receive emails from the development staff should they need followup information from you about this crash. {note}'''Note''': Mozilla will '''NOT''' e-mail you back unless more information is requested about your crash.{/note} '''Enter your email address here''': If you chose to help our development staff get information and reproduce this crash, provide the email address you wish to be contacted at here. '''Quit Firefox''': Close the dialog and don't start Firefox again. '''Restart Firefox''': Start Firefox again. Firefox will give you the option to open the windows and tabs you had open before the crash.
