Some pictures won't display in FF. The picture outline/box shows for bried second when the page starts loading, but then disappears altogether, becoming invisible. You wouldn't know that a picture was supposed to be there. Theres no indication that anything is there when I run the area over with the mouse either.

I have - reloaded using F5 - cleaned cookies and cahce - tried running safe-mode - downloaded the latest Java application - checked that images are set to reload automatically - checked that nothing is blocked - made sure that the problem is not backslash

The pictures show up just fine in Google Chrome and IE, but I'd rather stick with FF. Help?

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.

See:

  • Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
  • Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
  • Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
  • Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)

There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thanks, but I've already been through all of that and none of it worked. I tried again just now to be sure.
