Hi Using TB 60.6.1 on Linux Mint 17 (32 bit)

Should I update TB to a later 32 bit version ? What is the procedure ?

Currently it will not compress email folders, not enough room. I can move a lot of emails (not critical emails) to a folder that will allow more space to compress. Do I 'export' to a folder in Firefox? What is the best way to get folders to compress ?

Thanks Charles Harris

increase the space allocation on the drive is the best outcome.

re:Currently it will not compress email folders.

Please note it is not compressing the file, it is compacting it. Compressing does not lose data. Compacting removes all the old hidden copies of previously moved emails. Thus cleaning up file and reducing it's size.

Have you tried to do this one folder at a time ? Start with 'Drafts' and then do the 'Junk'. Right click on 'Drafts' folder and select 'Compact'.

It is much better to have several smaller folders than have a couple of folders containing everything. Old emails can be stored in folders by year. You can set up 'Archives' to do this.
