Downloas file with firefox logo cant be located in the computer and cant be used to attache to the e-mail

I have an "downloads" folder in my documents to where are all down loaded files stored. Up on down loaded new Firefox browser, in it has its own "downloads" built in with-in the program. All my downloads I receive from e-mail down loaded in to this "downloads" but when I want to attachment to sent to my friends I can not excess this "downloads" folder from my E-mail but the one I always used prior the updating Firefox .How can I access from Firefox "downloads so I can attache it to my E-mails? Thanks

Chosen solution

First, wherever the file is downloaded in Firefox, you can open the folder it's in from the Downloads window (see "Open the file's folder" on Managing downloads). In that window you can see its location.

To restore the download location to Downloads in My Documents, you could change it in the settings or Reset the download folder.

[edit] oh, and how exactly do you download the file you can't find later? Do you maybe use "Save Link As" or "Save Page As"?
