windows taskbar doesn't disappear in firefox fullscreen

more options

When I go into fullscreen, by any means (F11 or dedicated button next to zoom settings), only the firefox toolbar disappears. The window taskbar stays there. Issue is not present on other installed browsers.

I tried: - Troubleshoot mode - Tinkering with windows accessibility settings for Firefox - On troubleshoot mode, Individually flipping these configs (+ refresh): - - browser.fullscreen.autohide - - browser.link.open_newwindow.disabled_in_fullscreen - - browser.link.open_newwindow.disabled_in_fullscreen - - widget.windows.fullscreen_remind_taskbar

Chosen solution

Go to about:config and make sure full-screen-api.ignore-widgets is default false.

Does it still happen in a new profile? An easy way to test a new profile is to install Developer Edition and see if it happens there or refresh your existing profile.

Additionally, also tried going in and out of Firefox while in fullscreen mode (either alt-tabbing to another application or opening windows search through windows key and clicking back)

It does not. [AlwaysOnTop setting] It was previously set to true, but flipping it didn't solve my problem

Edit: disabling NVIDIA's overlay also doesn't impact anything. On window's safe mode, issue persists, so it's safe to assume the problem isn't a third party application
