I have Windows 7 64 bit and was using Internet Explorer 11 for years, but have now downloaded and installed Firefox version 66.0.3 (64bit). After searching the community I have set up my home pages etc. I also have Norton Security installed and when I did a search using google, Norton did not rate the search engine results. I have checked the extensions and Norton Safe Web is listed and enabled,(it says disable or delete by the side of it). I have searched help and the community but cannot find a answer to my problem. I would be extremely grateful for any help. Thanking you in advance.

Hello kitty180,

All I could find is this :

A personal note (feel free to ignore) :

Do you really need Norton  ? I would recommend to remove it and to rely on Windows built-in Defender (and maybe run Malwarebytes once a month).

Hello McCoy,

Thank you for your reply, but I have only just renewed my subscription for Norton Security and although I appreciate your answer, I want to continue to use Norton at least until my subscription expires. As an elderly novice to computing I rely on Norton to warn me of dangerous websites before I click on them, which it does by displaying a green tick for ok or red for dangerous in Internet Explorer 11. Once again thank you for taking the time to reply to me, but although I don't want to, it looks like I will have to continue to use Internet Explorer 11 when browsing the web.

Aww, don't give up on Firefox just because I couldn't find a proper answer to your question - someone else just might come up with the perfect solution for you  !

Hi McCoy. Once again thank you for your reply. I will keep checking to see if anyone else can help me. Many thanks

My advice is to contact Norton support for help with their Norton Safe Web 3.7.0.11 (nortonsafeweb@symantec.com) add-on. Norton created that add-on for Firefox and it's their responsibility to provide support for their software.
