Turn on sync on one device/profile. Select ONLY bookmarks. Once this has gone thru, do the same with the other profiles.

Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Flash Player Version: Version 27.0.0.183

Note: Other software is offered in the download. <Windows Only> +++++++++++++++++++ See if there are updates for your graphics drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/upgrade-graphics-drivers-use-hardware-acceleration

To use Sync to synchronize bookmarks between your Firefox Profiles, you would use the same Sync account / Firefox Account and each Profile would get synchronized with the Sync server when you open each Profile. And then as you would add each new bookmark to a Profile the new bookmark would be sent to the Sync server to be synchronized to each of your other Profiles when you opened each of those other Profiles.

If you happen to be using multiple simultaneous Profiles (with the -no-remote command) you can even watch a new bookmark appearing in a 2nd Profile not long after a new bookmark is added to the 1st when you have the windows tiled. If you're on a fast internet connection you gotta be quick shifting your eye focus to the 2nd tiled window, it's almost instantaneous going thru the Sync server (when Sync isn't overloaded which can happen during the "lunch hour" in the continental USA).

Sync works a treat to sync between Profiles on a solitary device with multiple separate Profiles! I have been using Sync like that since Firefox 4.0 first came out, which was when Sync was first built into Firefox; but my use of Sync has involved not only multiple Profile but also different versions of Firefox to allow me to "test" the pre-release versions while having access to all my saved bookmarks and other user data such as Passwords.

I would like to offer some final words.

1) create a backup of your bookmarks just-in-case.

These instructions are for Firefox. These instructions will combine the new bookmarks with the old.

Open the Bookmarks Manager; Press the Alt or F10 key to bring up the toolbar, and select Bookmarks. Hot key is <Control> (Mac=<Command>) <Shift> B.

Once the window is open, at the top of the page, press the button labeled Import and Backup. Select Export Bookmarks To HTML, and follow the prompts and save it to a HTML file. Copy the file to another computer. Repeat the instructions above, BUT select Import Bookmarks From HTML.

2) If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers before using sync again.
