My wife has 2 accounts set up in Thunderbird. When she creates an mail from one of the those accounts, an photo that we have previously taken and stored somewhere on her computer (always the same image) is added to the top right-hand side of the address banner of every email she either creates or forwards on. It is very frustrating as we can't see how it has been added. It only happens on one of her accounts.

It isn't a signature image because it is in the address/contact section at the top of the email and NOT in the email body. I've been through all the customising of the emails and there's nothing to indicate what has been done to add an image. It is an image that wqe have taken and saved on the computer because it's from our balcony.

Hopefully someone can solve this puzzle as my wife has been asking me to sort it out for a couple of years now and I've finally given up.

Would it be possible for you to post a screenshot of the email composition window so that we can see exactly where the image appears? Also, can you confirm that the image is transmitted with the message, i.e. it's not just appearing on your computer? Where do the recipients see it -- in the message header or in the body of the message?

Thank you for responding to my query. I'm surprised that no one else seems to have this issue. The image doesn't show on the page when composing the email. It only appears when the email is received by the recipient and appears in the far right of the message header as shown in the attached file. In my wife's case, it's a view over the ocean.

Thanks for the extra info, I understand the problem better now. I'm completely out of my depth though, I've never met this before and I don't know how to solve it. Let's hope that someone else in this forum reads this post and has the answer! Meanwhile, all I can think is that this might be some kind of message stationery or template? There are add-ons for Thunderbird that offer such enhancements, do you have any of them installed? Are there entries in your 'templates' folder? Have you tried running Thunderbird with add-ons disabled? Sorry to be so lame ...

Thanks for your help. The short answer to your questions is that I don't know what add-ons are installed. As it's after midnight here I'm going to bed and I'll tackle the problem tomorrow. When I know more I'll post what I find out here.
