How to get firefox to stop interfering with my computer?

we are tried of the pop up that tells us someone is changing our homepage. When I tried to change it to google I was blocked. When we use firefox it takes us to "ASK" which gives us the weirdest sites, pop ups, & associations. We want a streamline response that we get from google, not the absurd! Please relinquish control of our ability to set our own homepage.

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.

You can check the home page setting

  • Tools > Options > General > Startup: Home page

Firefox supports multiple home pages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.
