Where did my places.sqlite go after an OS crash?

Windows 8 crashed on me. So, I installed Windows 8 on a new hard drive, installed Mozilla, then tried to get my bookmarks and passwords off of my old hard drive. I found the old XXXXX.default folder (I didn't format the drive). Unfortunately, there's no places.sqlite in it. There's also no key3.db. Where did these go? I've been using that profile for months.

Thanks

Make sure that you look in the correct location (i.e. not in AppData\Local but in AppData\Roaming).

You're right about the roaming location. I was in Local. I loaded up the info.

Unfortunately, when Windows tried to repair my drive, it automatically wiped that partition (I have no clue why). Luckily, I had another broken copy of Windows on another partition that was successfully repaired. I got a 5 month old profile info off of that. Even better, all my valuable data on the third partition was recovered.
