Firefox keeps remebering history after setting "Never Remember History"
I have Firefox 24.0. I have always had my privacy set at never remember history and until about a month ago it worked fine. Now when I clear my cache with Ccleaner there is always 100-200mb of storage in the firefox temporary internet cache. Why is it no longer deleting these upon exit as it use to?

Firefox doesn't use the IE temporary internet cache.
Firefox has its own cache and you can see the current cache usage on the about:cache page.
You can open built-in about: pages via the location bar like you open a web page.
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content

Cache and History are not the same things. They are also stored in different files in Firefox.
What is the Internet Cache? This is where Web pages and files (such as graphics) are stored as you view them. This speeds up the display of pages you frequently visit or have already seen, because it is faster to open them from your hard disk than from the Web. The downside of this is that it takes up space on your hard disk, and it can sometime cause problems in loading a page that you have visited many times before.
What is the Internet History? Your Internet history is a record of all the sites you have visited. This option gives you the ability to see what sites you have visited. If you visited a site and don't know what the name of the site is, you can try to find it in your history. After a certain number of days, this history will be cleaned out.
To clear both automatically when closing Firefox, go to Options > Privacy set "Firefox will: Use custom settings for history", next, check "Clear history when Firefox closes", click "Setting" to the right of that and check off items you want to clear when Firefox closes. Be careful with what you select as the deleted items can not be recovered.

Many thanks to both of you for explaining the situation in layman's terms and offering a quick solution to the issue at hand.
I always get excellent and immediate help at Firefox and it is appreciated.
