Same problem. Just awful!!!! I'm on Windows XP SP3. Not a very well-tested release. IE8 works great. Interestingly, Chrome has the same issue. Could it be latest release of Flash ?

Same problem. Windows 7 (64bit) & Firefox 3.6.6

I moved onto Chrome the issue has stopped for me so i do not believe it is a flash related issue

Make sure that your security software isn't blocking the plugin-container process. The plugin-container is a new program and it is likely that security software doesn't know about it and blocks that process by default if it tries to access internet.

I disabled my AV and other security apps. Problem still existed.

SOLUTION (for now):

Turned out to be the latest version of flash player was causing problems on both Firefox and Chrome. I uninstalled v10.1.53.64 and re-installed 10.0.45.2 from the Adobe Flash Player archives.

Works in all browsers just fine. Will be interesting to see what other "fixes" Adobe puts out (if any).

Totally crap. I've un- and reinstalled Firefox (Now 3.6.8) Swedish). Un- and reinstalled flash. Whitout any effect on the problem whatsoever.

Just updated plug in container in 3.6.6 (using lates flash). I've tried every other solution offered and none have worked yet. I've been disabling flash and enable it only when it's needed. For some reason, a page that would crash with flash enabled, won't crash if I have Flash disabled, go to site that needs it, go into tools and enable, back to sit where I do a reload current page. I get the Flash program just fine. But what a lot of garbage to go through. Hope the container fix works.

It seems as if the problems started with 3.6.6. I'm using 3.6.8 now. I can't tell which version of Flash-Plugin i'm using now. I've been using FF since.. i don't know when, and i must admit that it hurts to leave it due to this.

It's one thing if i created the problem myself, but when Mozilla or Adobe created it makes me pissed. I'm just about to give up trying to solve the problem. Life's too short for this.

I DL Google Chrome, and it works perfectly. No problems whatsoever...

I'm having the same issue on the Mac Platform as well. The problem happens with Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Seeing as it's happening with multiple browsers and multiple operating systems it looks as though it's an adobe problem. Oddly though, I haven't had any problems with flash and the Opera Browser. I'd be very interested if anyone is able to find a work-around for the other browsers.
