Can´t select "Manual update" in Add-ons window dropdown-menu, all add-ons try to update at every start. (firefox 18)
I have selected "Manual update" in Options. I have tried to remove all add-ons and themes and reinstall them, but at next reboot all themes and add-ons open each a new tab and wan´t to be reinstalled.
In Add-ons window dropdown-menu "Auto update" is checked but when i deselect it i can´t check "Manual update". Nothing happens.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the files extensions.* (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini, extensions.cache) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.
New files will be created when required.
See "Corrupt extension files":
- https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Unable+to+install+add-ons
If you see disabled, not compatible, extensions in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left side of the Search Bar (or click the "Find Updates" button in older Firefox versions) to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also try to delete the addons.sqlite file.
You can check for problems with preferences and try to rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default values.

I don´t have any extensions.* files in my profiles folder, neither the file prefs.js. How can I create them?
You can use this button to go to the Firefox profile folder:
- Help > Troubleshooting Information > Profile Directory: Show Folder
- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox
Windows hides some file extensions by default. Among them are .html and .ini and .js and .txt, so you may only see a name without file extension.
Show all files is selected in Windows.
I uninstalled/reinstalled Firefox 18.02 but the problem remains. This time I got two files on the desktop after the installation, Old Firefox-data:extensions.ini Old Firefox-data:extensions.sqlite
I use BitDefender Total Security 2010 and have updated it but one of it´s add-ons for Firefox, Bitdefender Antiphishing Toolbar is still obsolete. It´s in the add-ons list but doesn´t have any buttons after it (remove...), only information that it´s incompatible with ff 18.02. Any idea how i could delete it?
I have also Tor Browser (FirefoxPortable) installed on the same harddrive, with the files extensions.ini and extensions.sqlite in profile folder, no problems there.
