How can I locate and view my old bookmarks on old hard drive?
My old pc motherboard died. I pulled out the hard drive and can hooked it up as a slave in my new computer. The old pc ran WinXP. The new computer has Windows7. Is there a way I can locate and view all my old bookmarks for the Firefox from my old hard drive? Or would that somehow have to be "imported" into my new browser? I'm not sure I want ALL the old bookmarks, and I really don't want to change any of the settings on my new version of Firefox (if possible). What are my options for finding, viewing, and using my old bookmarks? Where are they on the old hard drive? Any ideas and suggestions would be helpful. Thank you.

- XP: C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
- Vista/Windows 7: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
The "Application Data" folder in XP/Win2K and the "AppData" folder in Vista/Windows 7 are hidden folders.
There are only JSON backups on the old drive and restoring a JSON backup replaces all bookmarks, so you will have to export the current bookmarks to an HTML file before restoring a JSON backup from the XP profile folder.
Then you can reimport the bookmarks from the HTML backup after you've restored the JSON backup.
