I have downloaded Adobe Reader in order to view .pdf files. When I double click on the file name, typically as an attachment to an email a repeated flow of "new tab(s)2 is generated and just goes on it seems for ever. The only way out I can find is to "kiss away" the programme and then delete the new tabs, as many as several hundred on one occasion.

You get that problem if you select the Firefox program to handle a file if you get an "open with" dialog.
