Google homepage usually blank. No "Google" shown. Most webpages drab and dreary compared to IE on Windows 7. What's wrong??

Most pages just have boxes with no info in them unless the mouse is hovered over. Even this page, I had to move the mouse to find the dialogue box. I compared BestBuy Web page to IE on Window 7 (same computer) and all the boxes light up and is much more "colorful". And my gmail is nearly unusable and I have to really search the blank boxes to see what is what. All settings are nominal and tried to set themes to contrast but no joy in Mudville. Can you Help? Thank you. Dave

Make sure that you allow pages to choose their colors and that you haven't enabled High Contrast in the Accessibility settings.

  • Firefox > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Colors : [X] "Allow pages to choose their own colors, instead of my selections above"
