Hello, So this is pretty much it. Any youtube menu (notifications, the menu when you click on your picture - or channel picture-, the menu to save on a playlist) isn't working properly. Even if I like a video, and reload the page, the like disappear. Only on youtube, only on firefox (tested on other browsers and mobile it's ok). For example, on notifications I click and it keeps loading. On the "Save" button in order to add to a playlist, I click and nothing happens. So it's really hard to change accounts on youtube, for example. And this started after the last update (in the last two days). I already tried to start in safe mode, to turn off every extension, antivirus, clear the firefox cache, and it keeps hapening. Windows 10, 64 bits. Firefox 80

Ah, something that I forgot. Sometimes it works, but completely random. Once, was with ctrl+shift+r on the page. Another was in some youtube settings page (it seemed to reload some information of mine and it worked). Anyway, I don't see any consistency when it happened

No Chrome eu consigo ver as notificações e tudo funciona direitinho no youtube.

try using Mozilla in safe mode. Yes I agree the refresh feature seems not working all the time.

By any chance did this start happening after you upgraded to Firefox 80? Cause I'm having problems but not just with YT also with twitter since that upgrade and 80.0.1 didn't solve it. I'm seriously considering downgrading FF to the previous version

Exactly. It was like after the update, I think two days after at maximum.

FIrefox updated and the problem still happening. It doesn't happen on other browsers.

What I could find is.... it seems as I'm KINDA logged off from youtube, that's why some functions doesn't work. But I'm able to see my icon on the right up side of the screen. And I did Login. So, sometimes if I see a channel I'm not subscribed to, I click and then an option to login pops up. When I try to login again, then youtube breaks and give me some error.

So yeah, awkward state of Logged off and in at the same time

If you use extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) that can block content (Adblock Plus, NoScript, Disconnect, Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin) always make sure such extensions do not block content.

Firefox shows a purple shield instead of a gray shield at the left end of the location/address bar in case Enhanced Tracking Protection is blocking content. You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection. You can check the Web Console for messages about blocked content.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies for websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" for websites that cause problems:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Data"

"Clear the Cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Themes
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window

Ok, so, as I stated on the original post: I already cleaned the cache, didn't work. I already tried the refresh thing, didn't work. I already started on safe mode, didn't work.

I do not have any extension that blocks ads. The shield is grey in every site (including any youtube's page) I already removed the cookies for youtube, didn't work.

Also, I'm already using the default theme.

To check if hardware acceleration or userChrome.css are causing the problem is just to start on safe mode? Cause if it is, I already started on safe mode and still happening the problem.

So, thanks for your help, but nothing solved so far =/
